Sausage Soup
This is a recipe that I got from my aunt Marsha, it's one of our favorites!
1 lb sausage (browned like hamburger meat)
4 cups or two cans chicken broth (I always use homemade)
1 Can Italian Stewed tomatoes (I run through the food processor, so they are easier to eat)
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 Cup Orzo (can be hard to find, it's usually in the pasta isle, though it is not a pasta)
Cook and drain the sausage. Add in the next four ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat a little and add orzo and cook 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
This will feed my family of 4 with no leftovers, so if we want leftovers I have to double it. We like it with warm crescent rolls.
