Last evening after I got home from work and was starting dinner, Kenzie came in with paperwork from the school stating that all students have to have the Tdap shot before they can begin school in the fall. Kenzie was whining and complaining about having to get a shot. Trying to calm her before she went into complete panic mode when she wasn't even getting the shot right then, I told her she might already have the shot and that I would check her shot record. A bright light went off in her head and said "Wait, I have it!" and took off running to her room. Thinking that she meant she had the shot record, I was wondering why she should have it in her room. She comes running back 30 seconds later completely excited saying "I have it!!! I have it!!" with this:
This is the bandaid from when she received the shot in question in July 2011!! (She wrote it wrong on the bag) I was laughing so hard, I had no idea she had this. What adds to the humor in this is that she has SO much stuff in her room and she knew exactly where this was. I did still pull out her shot record and verify she had received the correct shot. I wonder if the school will accept this as proof of the shot? Maybe? Haha
